MLOVE Launches Start-up Competition

MLOVE has launched a start-up competition, offering five winning start-ups the chance to pitch their business at the MLOVE ConFestival Monterey, California, taking place from 24 – 26 April.

The jury is led by Gabriella Draney (Tech Wildcatters, Dallas) and also includes Urvi Bhandari (AT&T), Jennifer Pabian (Samsung), Amit Mukherjee (NEA), Joel Yarmon (Draper Associates) and Dylan Tweney (Venture Beat).

The most promising and innovative five start-ups will receive free ConFestival tickets, prizes from Samsung and AT&T and be invited to present their company on stage to the audience of mobile influencers, innovators and investors.

“With the start-up competition, MLOVE creates opportunities for mobile start-ups by exposing the best of mobile to media partners and the VC community, sais MLOVE founder, Harald Neidhardt. “We have an eclectic speaker list, a very engaged audience and a lively and surprising agenda in a magic place on the Pacific beach of California.”

The hot topic of the MLOVE ConFestival USA 2013 is the “Lifestyle of Mobility”, where mobile meets immersive experiences, including connected cars, context aware apps and services, Artificial Intelligence, wearables, the Internet of Things, and the Arduino maker movement.

MLOVE stands for disruption, innovation, inspiration and a Lifestyle of Mobility. The judges will be looking for start-ups that reflect these values. Cool new apps, or disruptive new services where mobile is a remote control to our lives should all apply.
The competition is open to companies worldwide that have raised less than $2 million and were founded after January 1, 2011. The deadline for entries is 15 April. You can apply here.
