The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has announced the formal launch of its MMA Canada Council. The MMA says the launch reflects the latest in the its efforts to establish regional presence with local focus across the globe. MMA Canada will be led by Michael OFarrell, Country Manager for Canada, along with Canadian council co-chairs Ross Buchanan, Director, Digital & Relationship Marketing at MolsonCoors and Andrew Osmak, SVP, Business Development & New Ventures at LavaLife.
MMA Canada joins already established councils in Austria, Germany, India, Philippines, South Africa, Spain, Turkey and the UK. The MMA says the MMA Canada Council is a factor in the acceleration of the adoption of mobile marketing for its members as part of the North America region.
The launch of our MMA Canada Council is a reflection of the continued growth of mobile marketing and demands for localized focus, said Federico Pisani Massamormile, the MMAs Global Chairman. In the past few years, the MMA has been able to build a global organization removing barriers to market development allowing for our members to meet regional needs. Canada represents a significant market for mobile and a growing membership base. The MMA is pleased to have a formal presence in the country.
