MobiCart Launches on Android, New iPad

mCommerce app builder MobiCart has announced its availability for Android phones and the new iPad. An up-dated version of MobiCart’s iPad app builder, to be used with the New iPad, is also now available to retailers and developers.

Following on from the release of the iPad version in November, the platform has been uniquely designed to replicate a magazine with the ability to turn pages and flick through your product catalogue. The updated version features improved graphics, higher speed performance and retina display to enhance the user experience through sharper text and richer colours.

MobiCart launched in 2010, and offers retailers a way of creating customized mCommerce apps. MobiCart’s API enables retailers to transform their eCommerce store into an mCommerce app in a few stpes. In-built language packs enable retailers to sell their goods anywhere in the world. Earlier this year, MobiCart secured an additional $150,000 (£93,000) investment from Northstar Venture to fund future development, and is currently closing another round of funding.

“This (launch) means MobiCart’s app builder can be used on the majority of mobile phones, and is great news for retailers, as it means their products can reach a bigger market by being available to a wider audience,” says MobiCart director, Wladimir Baranoff-Rossine.
