Fenrir has released version 2.0 of its iOS web browser app Sleipnir Mobile. The browsers hook is that it links, via a log-in, to desktop browsers – enabling users to save bookmarks across devices and, with the 2.0 update, share with their social network, save to the cloud, or mark for reading later.
Sleipnir 2.0 is connected with web services including Twitter and Facebook, Dropbox and Skydrive, and Instapaper – a number which Fenrir says will grow over time. With those services that support it, the app uses OAuth authentication to keep data secure – and with those that dont, Sleipnir stores account information locally.
The browser also promises gesture-based navigation, a full-screen touch-optimised display, and AdBlock functionality. 
“Most people dont try new browsers these days,” says Fenrirs Naoko Cooper. “Theres no need. But we see a real gap between desktop work and mobile activities. Just syncing bookmarks doesnt really do it. Imagine researching something at home and shooting it to your phone as you walk out the door. It can be done with the new Sleipnir.”
The app is complemented by a desktop browser, which can also send send phone numbers, addresses, and links to smartphones via its App Linker functionality.
