Mobile Fitness Firm GOQii Lands $13.4m Funding

Mobile fitness coaching service GOQii has closed a $13.4m (£8.9m) Series A funding round.
The funding round was led by New Enterprise Associates, with participation from Cheetah Mobile, Great Wall Club and DSG Consumer Partners, as well as angel investors.
GOQiis offering combines a subscription-based app, which includes personal coaching, with a wearable activity tracker. 
The funding will be used to expand GOQiis presence in the US and China. The addition of Cheetah Mobile and Great Wall Club in particular should help with reaching the latter market.
