Dot Media, the company which publishes Mobile Marketing and Mobile Retail magazines, has appointed Richard Partridge as business development manager.
He has a BA in Accountancy and Finance, and has worked in media for over 20 years. He spent seven years as an advertisement sales manager with Westminster Press’s local newspaper division, Southern Publishing, based in Brighton. Subsequent employment in London with BusinessAge magazine, and then Eurobusiness magazine, saw him expand his skills in the international arena. Since 2000, he has run his own media sales agency, European Media Services, dealing primarily with clients in the political and B2B sectors.
Richard brings a wealth of experience to the role, and says: “I am thoroughly looking forward to the challenge of working in this vibrant and fast-moving sector, and am confident that my abilities and contacts will help to drive this already successful publishing operation further forward.”
Dot Media commercial director John Owen adds: “It’s great to have Richard on board, he’s the right man for the job. We are pushing ahead on so many fronts, embracing publications, events and webinars, and we want to make sure everyone in the mobile marketing space hears about what we’re doing and has the chance to take part in it.”
Our next event is the Mobile Publishing Materclass in April, staged in conjunction with Camerjam, for which 48 senior publishing executives have so far signed up. This is followed by further Masterclass events targeting different verticals throughout the year. Our Effective Mobile Marketing Awards programme kicks off in the next couple of weeks, and in January 2012, we will be launching the Mobile Retail Summit, a one-day conference focused on mobile in the retail channel.
