Mobile Marketing Live Preview: Online Giants

Our flagship conference, Mobile Marketing Live, opens its doors next Thursday, 3 October, at The Grange St. Pauls in London.

In the run-up to the event, we are offering a preview of what speakers from diferent industry sectors are presenting at the event.

 Yesterday, we looked at our speakers from the Consumer Goods industry. Today, we turn the spotlight on our OTT/online/tech speakers, and we have no shortage of them for you at this years event…

 

Yahoo

First up at 9.40 in Stream 2 is Patrick Hourihan, head of research, Northern Europe at Yahoo. Patrick will be presenting some of the findings of Yahoo UK’s Mediasenses tablet study, exploring the disruptive impact tablets are having on consumer media experiences and the emerging opportunities for advertisers. Patrick will be discussing the research in detail and commenting on how this will affect the advertising market and what lessons we can learn from tablet use.

 

Zeebox

Next up at 10,10 in Stream 1 is Ernesto Schmitt, CEO and co-founder of zeebox. In his presentation, Ernesto will look at how TV and mobile devices are coming together to create a new ad format. He will also offer an overview of the second screen landscape, and zeebox’s position within it.

 

Shazam

Second screening will also be to the fore in Stream 2 at 11.10, when Miles Lewis, VP, advertising sales at Shazam, takes to the stage to look at the increased brand engagement opportunity that the second screen presents. This session will look at the opportunities mobile devices provide brands across every vertical to give their customers an interactive experience, while also providing them with new ways to measure success. 

 

Google

Back in Stream 1 we have two big-hitters back to back. At 12.10, Katy Read

head of mobile display, product and strategy, Northern Europe, at Google will give a presentation entitled: ‘Creating Brand Love With Mobile’. Katy’s presentation will take it as given that brands need to go mobile. Instead, she will focus not so much on the ‘why’ as the ‘how’. She will explore how brands are using mobile to engage with users in a more meaningful way than ever before. 


Facebook

Katy is followed immediately by Claire Valoti, joint head of sales at Facebook UK, who will outline the opportunities available from the social network giant to engage with consumers via the mobile channel.  

 

Twitter 

We stay with social networking after lunch with two more big-hitters taking to the stage back-to-back in Stream 2. First up us Dara Nasr, head of agency sales at Twitter. Dara will use his presentation to demonstrate how Twitter is being used by consumers to connect to those with similar interests, and to explain how marketers can communicate with their target audience, including will have some best practice examples.

 

Foursquare

Dara is followed by Omid Ashtari, managing director, Europe, at Foursquare, who will explain how brands are using Foursquare to attract, communicate, and retain high-value customers. In his presentation, Omid will discuss the tools businesses of all sizes can utilize to reach these customers and keep them coming back.
