Mobile marketing company MediaBurst is providing a text voting service for this years Northwest Football Awards Dinner, which is organised by Out There Events and sponsored by Barclays, and will be held this evening at the Midland Hotel, Manchester. Over 450 football club directors, managers, sponsors and personalities attending the event will be able to use their mobiles to vote live for the player whose goal they believe should win the Goal of the Year Award.
The 26 professional clubs in the Northwest have combined revenues of approximately 600 million, according to figures from Deloitte. Each year, the awards ceremony recognises the talent and creativity housed within the regions clubs and the commercial teams responsible for building their brands in the national and international communities.
In addition to the Barclays Goal of the Year Award, there are awards for Community Club of the Year; Best Club Marketing Campaign; Best Club Sponsorship; Best Non-matchday use of Grounds; Commercial Team of the Year; Business Award for Services to Football; Player of the Year (for each League plus Conference); Northwest Player of the Year; Northwest Manager of the Year; Northwest Club of the Year; and Lifetime Contribution to Northwest Football.
