Mobile Website Design Platform Brandcast Raises $13.9m

brandcast design websiteBrandcast, a website building platform that focuses on enabling companies to create mobile-friendly websites without the need for coding ability, has raised $13.9m (£10.6m) in Series A funding.

The startup already counts brands including Lowes, Colliers and New York Fashion Week among its users, and has now raised a total of $19.4m in capital.

The Series A funding round was led by Shasta Ventures, with investors including Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff and Correlation Ventures. Brandcasts chief strategy officer and co-founder Hayes Metzger previously worked at Salesforce, and Benioff has invested $1.8m in Brandcast already.

“We are disrupting the legacy platforms that make enterprise websites tedious to design, expensive to deploy, and dependent on developers for execution,” said Richard Yanowitch, CEO of Brandcast. “This new influx of capital will allow us to respond to the high levels of demand were seeing from Fortune 1000 companies and help fuel our mission to consumerise websites for enterprise.

“We continue to scale our world-class engineering, design, and customer-facing functions to help the worlds leading brands drive engagement across the entire marketing lifecycle.”
