MobileNationHQ Launches Web App-building Tool

App developer MobileNationHQ has launched a tool of the same name that enables anyone to quickly and easily design and create a custom mobile web app with no prior experience.

To publicise the launch, the firm has unveiled a Pocket Wimbledon web app in time for the Wimbledon Championships, which begin today. Designed and built in just eight hours with no programming, the app allows tennis fans to check the schedule of play and live scores, and locate their nearest tennis club based on their current location.

“The rapid development of the Pocket Wimbledon app shows just how easy it is for anyone to create a bespoke app for specific corporate or consumer needs,” says MobileNationHQ CEO, Tod Pedler. “With MobileNationHQ you only need to use your web browser to plan and assemble a feature-rich mobile app and then click the publish button to transfer it to your mobile device. It also gives you the creative freedom to define how your mobile app looks, feels and works.

“We believe that everyone will soon have a mobile app regardless of whether they are a large or small business, community group, club or organisation. However, this will only become a reality if we learn to look outside of the app store model. Apps can provide targeted and specific functionality that can be shared within a community, be that community members or employees. But there is no need and now no longer the requirement to distribute that with the other hundreds of thousands of  apps in the App Store.”

The Pocket Wimbledon web app is available for free by snapping the QR code, or clicking here.
