MobilityWare Benefiting from Greystripe Ads

Smartphone application developer MobilityWare has announced details of advertising revenues generated from its free apps via independent mobile ad network Greystripe.

MobilityWare, best known for its iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad games, including Word Warp, Solitaire and Blackjack, has been in Greystripe’s network for nearly two years. The company has been able to maximize earnings and yield stable revenue by developing multiple apps supported by Greystripe’s ad network. In July 2009, MobilityWare reported an average of just over $10,000 (£6,500) in monthly revenue from Word Warp, its highest grossing app at the time. In June 2010, MobilityWare had 17 apps in the Greystripe ad network that collectively earned $298,309 for the month – an average of $10,287 per day.

Greystripe provides rich, branded ad experiences for mobile devices. Its proprietary Lightning Technology enables advertisers to take existing Flash ad units or create new ones and serve them to iPhone and iPad users in their favorite apps.

“Greystripe is proud to help all of its developer partners build strong revenue streams with ad supported content”,” said Erica Chriss, VP of strategy and business development for Greystripe. “MobilityWare’s success shows the strength of the free ad-supported business model for app developers, especially in the current competitive climate in which they are competing with hundreds of thousands of other apps for user attention.”
