Mobiroo has launched a gift card for BlackBerry and Android smarphone apps. The cards, which are available at retailers such as ASDA, Gamestop, GAME, and The Carphone Warehouse, are available in £10 and £25 denominations.
The cards work by linking to the Mobiroo app store. When a gift card is given, the recipient must visit www.mobiroo.com on their smartphone or tablet and enter the PIN number located on the back of the card to access the gifted money. The Mobiroo app store offers a huge range of top apps which are checked and safe to download, says Mobiroo.
The company also offers branded gift cards as a white-label solution for businesses to give away as a free gift when a purchase is made. This service includes the ability to create a white-label branded storefront for when the customer redeems the gift, optional customer surveys, and branded splash pages when downloaded apps are launched. Companies can also push targeted messages through banners on the downloaded apps.
