Indian app engagement and analytics platform MoEngage has closed a $4.3m (£2.8m) Series A funding round.
MoEngage enables the delivery of individually personalised interactions via push notifications, in-app recommendations and email campaigns. It delivers around 1bn of these each month, and profiles around a fifth of Indias smartphone users.
The investment was led by Helion Venture Partners, with additional funding from Exfinity Ventures and angel investors.
MoEngage will use the funding to launch its platform globally, and expand its capabilities. Alongside the funding announcement, the company has unveiled three additions to its platform: uninstall tracking, geo-fencing capabilities, and smart email campaigns.
“We have been working in stealth mode with the largest internet companies and built out the next generation mobile marketing automation platform for B2C companies,” said MoEngage CEO Raviteja Dodda. “We have seen tremendous growth in the very first year of our journey, becoming the number one mobile marketing automation platform in India. With this funding, we will double down on product innovation along with geographical expansion in US and emerging markets.”
