Mobile ad network Mojiva has appointed Frank O’Donnell, formerly a senior development manager at Microsoft, to the position of Chief Technology Officer. O’Donnell will drive the technology team to enhance the company’s mobile ad serving platform and develop new ad-buying and monetisation offerings for advertisers and publishers on the media network. At Microsoft, O’Donnell managed the Universal Ad Client development team that integrated advertising into Xbox, Windows Phone and Windows 8 platforms.
“For three years, we’ve worked extremely hard to create what now is the dominant mobile ad serving platform in the world. Adding someone of Frank’s calibre to now take over and manage that process, given his 17 years of ad serving technology experience, is just huge,” says Dave Gwozdz, CEO of Mojiva. “Mobile advertising technology is extremely complicated – so far, we’ve produced a terrific platform, but now we’ve just raised the bar.”
Current CTO Krish Arvapally, who co-founded Mojiva in 2008, was promoted to Chief Innovation Officer.
