Morrisons Introduces Hundreds of Amazon Lockers to Stores

Amazon LockerUK supermarket Morrisons has signed a deal with Amazon which will see the country’s largest collection of Amazon Lockers installed in its stores this year.

Hundreds of the automated click-and-collect points will be available for customers to pick up their online purchases while doing the weekly shop. As with the 1,000 existing Lockers currently in the UK, customers will receive a unique code via email or text, which they can enter to unlock the relevant door.

“Many busy customers can’t wait at home for their delivery, and we believe the option to pick it up from one of our hundreds of conveniently located supermarkets will be attractive,” said Morrisons CFO Trevor Strain.

This is the just latest partnership between the two companies. In May, Morrisons began to supply grocery items Amazons Fresh, Pantry and Prime Now delivery services.
