Morrisons, Schuh, and New Look To Speak at the Mobile Retail Summit

Morrisons, Schuh, and New Look are the first three retailers to sign up to speak at the second annual Mobile Retail Summit event, taking place in London on 24 April.

Sean McKee, head of eCommerce at Schuh will be speaking as part of the On Device session about the retailers mobile journey. McKee joined Schuh back in 1996, progressing from retail roles into management, and is a long-time advocate of integrating bricks and clicks to improve customer experience.

New Look eCommerce & multichannel director Shivani Tejuja will be speaking during the In Store session, about the mobile strategies New Look has introduced in its retail locations. New Looks Marble Arch store in London saw a mobile revamp last November, which introduced POS tablets, QR codes, and AR window displays.

Sienne Veit, head of mobile at Morrisons, is also speaking in the In Store session. Veit joined Morrisons in May 2012, as part of the leadership team tasked with taking the brand online, and the supermarket’s first transactional mobile site, Morrisons Cellar, went live in November.

Local Data Company director Matthew Hopkinson will kick off proceedings with a warts-and-all presentation on the current state of the high street – something that should strike a chord with retailers here and now, with HMV, Jessops, and Blockbuster all having gone into administration this year, barely halfway through January.

The event has also attracted several sponsors, including keynote Platinum sponsor Brainstorm, Gold sponsors Trademob and Urban Airship, and Silver sponsors Isobar Mobile and Clash GroupDigipos has taken mPitch sponsorship, and IMRG is our official industry trade partner.
