Motorola Shells for Moto G

The manufacturers existing Moto X and Moto G smartphones – both remnants of its time as a Google-owned company – are each getting a makeover. With the new Moto X, the emphasis is on materials and design, with a frame made up metal, wood and leather. The low-priced Moto G has been upgraded with a larger 5” display, while retaining its $179.99  price point (£110, though its more likely to be priced around £150 in the UK).

Moto 360 Front GrayThe Moto 360 smartwatch, first unveiled back in March as part of the Android Wear starting line-up, has gone on sale for $249.99. The watch features a built-in pedometer and heart rate monitor, and charges using a wireless dock.

Samsung also introduced the Moto Hint, a wireless smart earbud based on a similar concept to Samsungs Gear Circle, unveiled earlier this week. The Hint can be used to control a paired smartphone via voice commands and receive audio instructions, for example with turn-by-turn navigation. The Moto Hint will be go on sale later in the autumn for $149.99.

Finally, Motorola launched the Power Pack Micro, a portable battery for charging Motorola devices in a pinch, which also has a function to track a smartphone or the Power Pack, and anything its attached to, when misplaced.
