Movers and Shakers: FOX Entertainment, Inskin Media, Uberall and more

FOX Entertainment promotes Schillace 
FOX Marketing executive Darren Schillace has been promoted to President, Marketing for FOX Entertainment. 

In this role, Schillace will lead the marketing strategies for all business units within FOX Entertainment, including FOX, the #1 broadcast network; and Tubi, the industrys leading free streaming AVOD platform; as well as projects from Bento Box, FOX Alternative Entertainment and Blockchain Creative Labs.  Schillace is also a consistent contributor on marketing projects across the larger FOX.

Before joining FOX in 2017, Schillace oversaw all marketing strategies for ABCs primetime, late-night and daytime programming, spanning on-air promotion, off-network creative, digital marketing, social media, paid media, strategic partnerships and events.

Inskin bolsters team 
Digital advertising specialists, Inskin Media has promoted Svenja Damzog to Director, Publisher Services, EMEA and NA.

Damzog joined Inskin Media back in 2015 as Publisher Services Executive, quickly rising through the ranks to Head of International Publishers. Prior to joining Inskin Media, she was working in sales and account management at Ryanair, across a number of markets. She will report to Anna Forbes, the ad tech company’s recently appointed Chief Operating Officer.

Having been looking after existing publishers in EMEA in her current role, and onboarding new partnerships, she will now focus on growing and nurturing inventory supply and implement strategies to drive further market growth in EMEA and North Africa.

This news follows other recent appointments including Dominic Tillson as Marketing Director, and Fiona Maynard as Commercial Manager.

Uberall appoints two Vice Presidents 
Uberall, a leading provider of Near Me Customer Experience (NMCE) marketing solutions has announced the appointment of two experienced leaders. 

Veronika Gorkina will be driving Go to Market operations strategy as the new Vice President GTM Strategy & Operations, and Laurence Capdeville will focus on taking Uberalls already strong customer success programme to the next level as Vice President of Customer Success. 

Gorkina has more than 10 years of operational management experience. She was previously at Media Math, an ad-tech firm, and Forter, an e-commerce fraud prevention company, which achieved unicorn status last fall with a valuation of $3bn. As one of Forter’s first employees, Gorkina helped double revenue in less than a year, building the global operation team from scratch, and helping to scale the company.

Capdeville, has 15-years’ experience with seven of them in the finance industry, having worked at Citigroup Inc., an American multinational investment bank. A highly experienced, London-based tech leader, Capdeville transitioned to the tech space in 2012, and has worked with client-facing teams at ad tech company, AppNexus (now Xander) as Director, Product Solutions & Professional Services, and most recently as the Global Head of Customer Success at Via.

Omnicom Media Group UK hires Rowe and Collins
Omnicom Media Group (OMG) UK, the media division of Omnicom Group Inc., has announced the appointment of two significant hires, Henry Rowe and Laura Collins.

Rowe will take on the role at OMG UK of Chief Digital Officer and Collins has been appointed as Group Performance Director to further strengthen the groups capabilities and innovation across digital, commerce, data and technology.

Rowe joins from the digital marketing specialist’s agency Theorem, where he oversaw client operations, client strategy, product strategy and international growth. He led a team of over 1000 worldwide, working with customers including Netflix, Salesforce, News Corp and Amazon.

He brings more than two decades of industry experience to OMG UK, with roles including MD at Carat Digital and founder of digital media consultancy and advisory business FaR Partners, which he sold to Theorem in 2015. Rowe is also a mentor for Bloom’s cross-mentoring programme.

Collins, who was named as Campaign magazine’s Female Frontier Honouree 2021 for her contribution to diversity and inclusion, joins from Merkle, where she was VP – Head of Media. At Merkle, she developed the agency’s central search, social and performance offerings, having previously led similar initiatives at Periscopix.

As the UK Group Performance Director, Collins will work with the agency teams to drive OMG’s overall performance proposition, helping the agencies stay ahead of the market.

TeamSnap makes two new hires
Sports management and communication software for amateur sports, TeamSnap has announced the hiring of two new leadership team members: Joyce Bell as the new Chief Financial Officer and Michael Fox as VP of Product & Design.

Bell will oversee the company’s rapid growth and financial goals as it invests in the operational and process maturity to support the increased scale of the business and its expanding user base.

 Fox has a 20+ year technology career spanning multiple startups and enterprises in the B2B SaaS, mobile, security, fintech, machine learning, virtualization, and cloud industries. Fox has managed product portfolios with over $300m in revenue and has had success within numerous public alliances and joint ventures, including with companies such as VMware, Goldman Sachs and Verizon.

Havas Entertainment boosts JUMP team
Havas Entertainment, Havas Media Group’s recently launched entertainment proposition, is announcing two new hires for JUMP, its culture and content agency. Micaela Maciel joins as Creative Strategy Director, while Drew Wolf joins as Creative Director, with both sitting within JUMP.

Maciel was most recently Strategy Director at global brand consultancy Revolt, where she worked on communications for H&M US and built the content strategy for The Opponent, a new community platform for women in sport. She was previously Senior Creative Strategist at Amplify, Campaign’s Brand Experience Agency of the Decade, developing strategies for brands including Adidas, Jack Daniel’s, and Smirnoff.

With the experience of developing and overseeing content studios creating high-quality content at scale, Wolf joins Havas Entertainment after nearly a year-and-a-half running his own creative consultancy, working with brands, agencies, and publishers on everything from traditional creative ideation, content strategy, and production through to branding and consumer product development. Most recently he has completed the rebrand and creative positioning for Little Dot Studios and worked with Amazon, YouTube, VanMoof, Tommy Hilfiger, Dr. Martens, and Uniqlo.

Blippar expands executive team  
Augmented reality (AR) technology company, Blippar has appointed Dahlia Basar, Mark McDonagh, and Patrick Timoney to its executive team, with Basar joining as Strategic Partnerships Director, McDonagh as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and Timoney joining as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Basar joins Blippar with over 18 years of experience leading commercial and strategic partnerships globally, across roles that include tech giants Google and YouTube. More recently, she co-founded Congress London, a non-profit womens network focused on designing events on topics that foster advancement and confidence in women across multiple industries.

McDonagh will be familiar to many in the startup and entrepreneurial worlds, having personally interviewed over 3,000 business founders in his role as Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of The Startup Van. In this role, Mark also launched ‘The Roundup’ – the first and only daily show for founders in the UK – and worked with WeWork to co-produce a series called ‘Behind the Curtain’. McDonagh’s background also includes roles as Chief Growth Officer, UK and Ireland with education software developer Xplor, and as a Senior Account Manager, SAAS Startup Acquisition with IBM. 

Timoney joins as CFO having spent the past eight years as VP of Finance and Strategy at virtual simulation and world-building unicorn Improbable, responsible for the companies’ business partnerships, investment strategy, and day-to-day financial operations. He was previously an Associate Consultant at Stroud Consulting.

Healthware Group appoints Chief Financial Officer 
Digital health innovation organisation, Healthware Group has appointed Giovanni Loria as Chief Financial Officer.

Loria will be responsible for the overall financial management and will play a pivotal role in driving long-term business and strategic growth, supporting the company in its future evolution.

Loria is a native Italian who graduated in Economics at the Università degli Studi di Salerno before embarking on a 25+ international career as CFO & COO for software and tech companies like Cisco Systems, Dell Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, Computer Science Corporation, and as strategic advisor to digital start-ups, working from the US, France, Switzerland, and the UK.

ListenFirst recruits DiGiacomo
Social analytics platform, ListenFirst has announced the appointment of David DiGiacomo as CEO.

Earlier in his career, DiGiacomo co-founded and led the first of its kind multimodel SaaS communications technology company, Emergency Communications Network (now Onsolve), through 15+ years of successful growth — from two full-time employees to the industrys largest provider of emergency and intelligent notification services with $100+ million in annual revenue.

Additionally, DiGiacomo was brought in to help lead PowerDMS in their quest to be the premier provider of Policy Management and Accreditation software which was realized as best in class through a merger with NEOGOV. In the companies hes run, DiGiacomo drove nearly $1bn in Enterprise Value creation while upholding industry leading client NPS scores.

Vogt joins Wombat 
Micro-investing platform, Wombat Invest has appointed Marina Vogt as Head of Marketing. 

Vogt joins Wombat Invest from Deliveroo, the online food delivery company, where she created and implemented the strategy for enhancing the lifecycle of customers.

Vogt brings with her significant experience in the fintech sector, having previously held senior positions at Experian and WorldRemit, where she spearheaded the company’s CRM strategy.

Parry joins the Smart team 
Independent ad monetisation platform, Smart AdServer has announced the appointment of respected adtech leader, Teiffyon Parry, as EVP Global Demand. 

Parry is a global adtech leader with extensive experience of working with fast-scaling companies. Serving most recently as Managing Director for FreeWheel Advertisers, he oversaw global product strategy for digital and TV, with a focus on global agency sales and partnerships.

Before this, he worked as Managing Director at Adazzle, where he scaled the business before leading the sale to Comcast and its subsequent integration into Strata. Parry brings with him a unique background in demand, along with strong relationships in the digital TV space.
