DigitasLBi strengthens UK media team with promotion and hire
Publicis-owned DigitasLBi has appointed Adriana Matyaskova to head of media. Previously media director at the marketing and technology agency, Matyaskova will lead the 90-strong UK media team, reporting to chief media officer Paul Dalton.

It has also hired Cibelle Michepud to the newly-created role of head of display and paid social. Michepud was previously global social associate director at Starcom Mediavest Group, and before that spent six years with Neo@Ogilvy. She will report to Matyaskova and work with heads from other disciplines to develop data-driven, cross-channel media solutions.

López heads up Mobext
Havas Group has appointed Patricia López as the head of Mobext, the groups mobile arm, in the UK. Joining from Havas Media New York, López will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of innovative, business-building mobile marketing solutions and further develop the Havas mobile offering across all of its UK media and creative agencies.

Pocket App names interim CEO
UK app developer Pocket App has appointed Hugh Griffiths as its interim CEO, replacing Paul Swaddle, who is taking up the position of chairman. Formerly director of mobile services at Microsoft, Griffiths has also worked for Independent News and Media and Telefonica to build their digital content and application businesses, and launched mobile ad tech business 5th Tier. He joined Pocket App as a non-executive director in August 2015.

Kargo picks up four for international growth
Kargo, a mobile ad firm specialising in brand advertising, has hired four executives: Oliver Clamp as VP of international business development, Arthur Cole as VP of international operations, Graeme Finneberg as VP of UK sales and Luke Baker as agency group head. Between them, the four have experience at Millennial Media, MySpace, Hearst, Apple and Microsoft.

Lyall leads AppLifts NY office
Mobile ad tech company AppLift has named Brendan Lyall as managing director US East, heading up the companys newly-opened office in New York City. Lyall was formerly CEO co-founder of Growmobile, which was acquired by Perion in 2014, and at AppLift will be tasked with growing the companys presence in the US.
