Former Google exec heads Polar expansion
Tom Jenen has been appointed international president of native ads firm Polar, tasked with expanding the companys presence in Europe.

Jenen was previously head of marketplace development for Northern Europe at Google, and before that commercial director at Admeld, which was acquired by Google in 2011.

Bite snaps up three
Social agency Bite has made three senior hires.

Ricky Davison has been named consumer practice director, joining from Kazoos lifestyle division. Supporting him as associate director will be Alice Bruce, who previously worked in a senior PR role at Nando’s. Meanwhile, Craig Barber has been appointed as art director.

There have also been two major moves internally, with board director Jon Silk moving to the San Francisco office as SVP, while Louise Waller has been promoted to business practice director.

Mapp Media locates new commercial manager
Adrian Williams has joined mobile ad firm Mapp Media as commercial manager, responsible for creating additional revenue opportunities for the companys portfolio of platform partners.

Williams has worked for a variety of digital advertising companies over the past 10 years, including Criteo, Ogury and Teads (then Ebuzzing).

Gallagher joins Dex as VP
Full-service media company Dex Media has appointed Richard Gallagher as vice president of digital product technology.

Formerly chief digital officer for International SOS, at Dex Gallagher will lead the digital product technology team. He is responsible for overseeing the design, development, integration and implementation of the company’s technology.
