Starcom Mediavest Group
Publicis-owned media network Starcom Mediavest Group (SMG) has hired Thaer Namruti in the newly-created role of SVP, precision marketing strategy.
Based in London and reporting to president of global network clients Jodie Stranger, Namruti will be responsible for ensuring accountable investment strategies that are data-led and business outcome-driven.
Namruti joins from his role as European strategy director at Acxiom, and is actually rejoining the company – prior to Axciom, he held the position of SVP of data and analytics, dynamic markets, at SMG.
Jack Morton
Vijay Patel has joined brand experience agency Jack Morton Worldwide as VP, director of social media and interactive.
Patel has previously worked at content agency VCCP Kin and Beattie McGuinness Bungay, where he worked with clients including O2, EasyJet and Microsoft.
Based in Jack Morton’s London office, Patel will be leading Jack Morton’s social media and branded apps offering.
Truphone
Mobile network Truphone has appointed Ralph Steffens as its new chief executive officer, replacing former CEO Steve Robertson, who has moved to the role of executive chairman and CEO of strategic partnerships.
Steffens joins from Indian telco Reliance Jio Infocom, where he held the role of president and COO, and has previously worked at BT, NBN and Colt Telecom.
At Truphone, Steffens will work together with Steve Robertson to lead the strategic direction of company, grow its international reach and improve the service offering to its customers.
