Turn names ex-Google director as EMEA MD
Digital marketing platform Turn has appointed Richard Robinson as managing director of EMEA.
Robinson comes from his role as director of brand development at Google, and has previously worked at IDC and IDG.
“Richard has a deep understanding of digital marketing that will be invaluable for Turn’s customers,” said Turn chief revenue officer Wendy MacGregor. “He brings to the company almost 20 years of experience assisting companies in the building of brands and the implementation of innovative go-to-market strategies. Marketers are now using data to develop sophisticated approaches to reach and engage customers across the entire consumer journey. Richard is very well placed to lead the team in supporting brands towards this goal.”
Snapchat hires three
Snapchat has hired James Veraldi, formerly SVP of strategy and business development at Fullscreen, as head of strategy and partnerships, responsible for building relationships with media partners for Snapchats Discover section.
The company also named ex-Facebook product manager Anthony Pompliano to lead its growth and engagement team – a similar to the role he previously fulfilled for the Facebook Pages product.
Finally, Drew Vollero joined Snapchat as VP of finance and acting CFO. Vollero comes from toy brand Mattel, where he has been for the past 15 years, most recently in the role of SVP corporate strategy, development and investor relations.
Signal appoints former BBC exec
Adam Hutchinson has joined market intelligence platform Signal as head of product design.
Hutchisons previous roles include senior interaction designer at Morgan Stanley, and interaction designer at the BBC, where he worked on the development of BBC iPlayer and led the redesign of BBC News. He will bring that experience to his role at Signal, heading up product design, product vision and user experience.
