Amdocs, which provides customer experience systems, has revealed that Angolan mobile provider Movicel has selected the Amdocs Compact Convergence solution for real-time charging and service delivery to support its growing code division multiple access (CDMA) operations, and to establish a foundation for offering 3G services. The Amdocs solution will also enable Movicel to quickly introduce new, value-added, prepaid and postpaid services and promotions across any network.
A next-generation, intelligent network (IN)-based solution, Amdocs Compact Convergence includes network connectivity modules, and can be rapidly deployed or expanded to interface with multiple networks. The solutions low maintenance and operational costs will enable Movicel to reduce its total cost of ownership, says Amdocs, adding that by supporting the rapid introduction of new services and pricing options, the solution will also help Movicel strengthen its competitive position in the market, drive growth and new revenues, and offer an enhanced customer experience.
