MSN has launched a gesture-based search feature for its recently-launched iPad app. Known as ‘Lasso’, the technology enables users to perform a Bing search simply by circling a particular word or phrase within an MSN article.
Whilst Bing is already fully integrated into the MSN app, the Bing lasso will let users quickly and easily start a web search by highlighting any text on the app. A Bing search results page will then appear with information on the particular topic circled, without the user having to leave the app.
The MSN iPad app is available to download for free, by using the link below or installing it using either iTunes (on your PC/Mac) or through the iPad from the App Store.
