The GSMA has announced a series of big-hitting CEOs will speak at the Mobile World Congress 2012 event in Barcelona in February.
Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt, Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello, eBay president and CEO John Donahoe, and Nokia president and CEO Stephen Elop head the list.
“This years Mobile World Congress keynote speakers really reflect the continued expansion of the mobile ecosystem,” says Michael OHara, CMO of the GSMA. “The CEOs taking the stage at Mobile World Congress will offer a variety of perspectives, from mobile operators, handset makers and infrastructure suppliers to internet companies, applications developers, online commerce, and advertising and marketing companies, among others. The 2012 edition of the Mobile World Congress is set to be the most exciting and dynamic yet.”

- Stephen Elop, president and CEO, Nokia
- Vittorio Colao, chief executive, Vodafone
This announcement comes in the wake of previously announced keynote speakers from the likes of Alcatel-Lucent CEO Ben Verwaayen, Sunil Mittal, CEO of Bharti Airtel, and HTC CEO Peter Chou.
