MWC: Bring It On

Alex Spencer

MWC Gran Fira

Barcelona. Capital of the autonomous Catalonian region of Spain, site of Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece, La Sagrada Familia... and, of course, home to Mobile World Congress.

The show is just opening its doors to the 70,000-plus attendees that will spend the next four days walking the halls of the Fira Gran Via. MWC is undoubtedly the biggest date in the mobile calendar, and announcements come at a relentless pace.

The first news started rolling in even before MWC officially began, with Samsung and Mozilla both holding press events yesterday night. Nokia, Ford and Yahoo are all slated for big announcements this morning, and Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg is delivering a keynote later this evening - though word is he won't be making an appearance in person, but via videolink.

Keep your eyes to the site for all that and much more over the next week - and follow us on Twitter (@mmmagtweets) to get the word direct from the show floor.
