MWC: mBlox Launches Engage Platform

Mobile payment company mBlox has launched mBlox Engage - a cloud-based personalised mobile marketing platform. mBlox Engage is location aware, and works in real-time to deliver content and customer activity reporting to brands.
"Brands must learn to deliver content to fit with their customer's lifestyle," says Michele Turner, CMO at mBlox. "mBlox Engage takes advantage of the new contextual dimension that is critical to mobile's differentiation over any other marketing channel, to enable this. Our research has found that 90 per cent of young people aged between 18 and 24 spend up to five hours a day on their mobile device, and there's a huge opportunity for brands to capitalise on this throughout 2012. What will be crucial in delivering success, however, is getting the interaction right, from the outset."
mBlox Engage tailors content to the consumer's context and the consumer's device. Where possible, it pushes rich media content to devices via wi-fi, to limit the end user's data usage.
