MWC: Millennial Launches Self-Service Ad Platform

Andy Penfold

Advertising platform provider Millennial Media has announced the full release of its self-service 'mMedia' solution.

The service allows small or independent businesses to utilise mobile in their marketing, and gives app developers tools to monetise their apps. It has been available to select clients as a beta since the start of January.

Millennial Media says the mMedia platform is designed to complement the company's full serving mobile advertising solutions.

As well as traditional mobile targeting methods, mMedia allows for self-service hyper-local targeting of ads. Advertisers can draw a virtual fence around their desired targeting area to deliver zone-based ads, says the company.

"mMedia extends our mobile ad platform to developers and advertisers who are looking for a complete self-service solution," said Chris Brandenburg, co-founder and CTO at Millennial Media. "Whether their goals are to monetise an app or to promote a business, the technology behind mMedia helps our developer and advertiser partners unlock the power of mobile and drive results that will scale their businesses."
