The MxO Mobile Opportunities Expo & Trend Conference, due to take place in Hamburg, Germany on 6 and 7 October 2011, has been cancelled. The news was announced this morning by Hamburg Messe und Congress, who said the event had been called off because of an insufficient number of firm bookings.
The event had been due to feature an expo floor full of mobile innovation, combined with a trend conference of international thought leaders, as well as workshops, networking and ideation sessions. The organizers had also planned to extend the event extend into the city of Hamburg with Augmented Reality treasure hunts and other activities to involve the local community. It seems, however, that it may have been a tad too radical for potential exhibitors. Those looking to target the German market will now no doubt focus their attentions on M-Days, which takes place in Frankfurt on 1 – 2 February, 2012.
