National Enquirer Claims Steve Jobs Could Have Only Weeks to Live

US tabloid The National Enquirer has claimed that Apple CEO Steve Jobs is seriously ill. Its report quoted a doctor as saying that Jobs might have only six weeks to live, though it’s worth noting that this was based not on any medical examination of the Apple boss, but on an analysis of recent photos of him. Apple has dismissed the claims, and yesterday evening, Jobs met, as planned, with US President Barack Obama to disucss the economy.

Jobs has had lots of health problems in recent years. He underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in 2004, and was also absent for several months from the end of 2008 to mid-2009 for a liver transplant. Last month, he announced that he was handing over the reins to Tim Cook so that he could concentrate on his health.

Needless to say, we wish Steve Jobs the very best of health.
