Nationals Launch Papers aren’t just Paper Campaign

The marketing body that represents the UK’s national newspapers has launched ‘papers aren’t just paper anymore’, its first ever multimedia campaign to highlight the changing role of ‘newsbrands’.

Working with the creator of QI John Lloyd and designers Tappin Gofton, best-known for their work with Coldplay, Newsworks has created six ads to run across print, smartphones, tablets and TV in the nationals from 23 September.

“We hope the campaign reminds people that newspapers across all platforms continue to play a hugely important and influential role,” said Rufus Olins, chief executive of Newsworks. “There has been a lot of criticism of the industry and these ads tell the other side of the story.”
