Nazara Technologies has acquired Fusebox Games for $27.2 million.
The acquisition supports Nazara’s strategic objective to establish a strong, IP-driven global gaming enterprise by leveraging its solid foundation in India and is part of the company’s larger strategy to broaden its reach through mergers and acquisitions.
Earlier this year, the company allocated $100 million to its growth efforts, focusing on acquiring gaming studios that can access the vast Indian gaming market, which has over 500 million gamers and the profitable North American market.
Nazara CEO and Founder Nitish Mittersain, said: “We see a large opportunity in building an IP based global gaming business that benefits from our core base in India where we can support global studios through enhanced user acquisition strategies, data analytics, live operations, and new initiatives.
“Many of our existing IP’s are good examples of this strategy and we are happy to join forces with the talented team at Fusebox as we continue to build Nazara into a global gaming company of meaningful scale.”
