Facebook Home launched on Friday, but as the app isnt yet available in the UK, we havent had chance to try it out for ourselves. The reaction from the US public who have installed Home, however, isnt great.

Homes rating on Google Play currently stands at 2.4 stars out of five, and by far the most common rating for the app is one star, the lowest possible score, making up 1,850, or 47.3 per cent of the 3,910 total user reviews.

A quick glance at the negative reviews highlights a few common complaints about Home – namely, that it hinders the ability to use widgets for other apps, is unintuitive to use, and has limited functionality or usefulness.

At the other end of the spectrum, there are 687 five star ratings, making it the second most frequent rating, and its possibly worth noting that positive opinions are more common among the reviews considered most helpful by the Play Store – but overall, negative reviews undeniably outweigh the positive, by a ratio of more than two to one.
