NeoMedia Adds vCard and meCard Support to Barcode Scanner

NeoMedia has updated its NeoReader barcode-scanning app – and its Latin American cousins, Leitor Neo and Códigos Neo – with support for vCard 2.1 and 3.0, meCard, and wi-fi codes.
“With a vast number of people now exchanging business cards in the form of vCards, and consumers increasingly making use of meCards to share their personal information, enabling their use for our customers was an important update for NeoReader,” says Laura Marriott, CEO of NeoMedia Technologies. 
The number of unique NeoReader users grew 148 per cent between Q1, 2011 and Q1, 2012, with a 138 percent growth in QR code scanning within the first three months of this year.
