NeoMedia Launches Philippine Solutions

NeoMedia Europe has announced further deals in the Philippines, through its relationship with local mobile solutions company, Omniprime Marketing.  
NeoMedia says it aims to increase its presence in the Philippines, a country that boasts the highest per capita usage for text messaging in the world, via an exclusive deal with the countrys port operator in the Batangas Port, where it is running a pilot program, which will replace paper tickets for people embarking vessels in the port with mobile tickets sent directly to peoples phones. Once the pilot programe is complete, the system will be rolled out to other ports in the Philippines.
A second project with Phoenix Petroleums 100 gas stations throughout the Philippines, allows customers to make pre-paid purchases through their mobile phones and then pay at any of the countrys petrol stations, receiving loyalty points for their purchases using the a 2D barcode system.
