Neustar has launched a blog called Mobile’s Next Big Thing.
Aimed at thought leaders, journalists and social media advocates, the blog will profile and generate discussion on the latest developments in the mobile industry. Neustar says it will focus on topical issues that are impacting mobile marketing, such as the rising profile of mobile barcodes and mobile instant messaging.
Interested parties can visit the blog at to sign up for regular posts via email or RSS. Regular contributors to the blog will include Diane Strahan, Neustar’s vice president of mobile services; Matthew Valleskey, marketing communications, mobile services; and Peter Langlois, director, mobile innovation and strategy.
“We decided to launch this blog to share our unique insight on an extremely fast-paced and innovative industry,” says Strahan. “We plan to discuss key issues that are shaping its development, along with the technologies that will get us to tomorrow. Mobile devices are ubiquitous – why aren’t personalized marketing programs? This is what we will explore on Mobile’s Next Big Thing.”
Neustar was created in 1996 as a neutral, third-party company that could advance the state of mobile communications. Neustar says it wants to continue that heritage, and help unlock the immense potential of mobile marketing. It says that currently, the lack of a proven, scalable and secure data clearinghouse is holding the industry back.
