New Google Ads to Star Friends and Family

Google is launching a new ad format incorporating the recommendations – and profile pictures – of Google+ users.

The ads will go live on 11 November, along with Googles updated terms of service. Theyll show reviews, recommendations and actions, like +1ing or following a brand page – from a persons connections for both products and places.

 Google seems to understand that its the kind of move that people could react poorly to and so has made sure the privacy is fairly watertight. The recommendations will only be seen by people the user has chosen to share content with, under-18 users wont feature in these ads, and its possible to opt out entirely.
