New York Times Launches Google Glass App

Developers testing the Google Glass AR glasses can now get news from the New York Times on their device.

Glass users can access audio summaries of the latest articles along with breaking news alerts and top news updates. The app must be linked to a Google account and requests permission to manage your Google Glass timeline and access your location.

The $1,500 device is still only being used in beta and Eric Schmidt, CEO, told BBC Radio 4 that it would be a year-ish before consumers would be able to get their hands on one.

The Times, Evernote, Path and Twitter are also known to have apps in development.
