NewBay Launches LifeCache v2.0

NewBay Software has announced the availability of its LifeCache Social Networking v2.0 solution, a combination of the companys LifeCache Social Networking Gateway and LifeCache Social Networking Client.
LifeCache provides users with an aggregated mobile social networking experience, delivering popular information from multiple online communities, including Facebook, Bebo, YouTube and MySpace in a single feed, enabling subscribers to engage with friends and family across a host of third party sites.
It includes a one-click media upload client which enables subscribers to post and share user generated content, such as photos and videos, with a single click. Users can also update their status in real time; view friends profiles; browse, download and comment on online media; and send private messages, all from the handset.
LifeCache enables carriers to selectively integrate with multiple social networking sites through the client, WAP or a desktop PC web browser. Carriers do not have to administer each individual relationship – they simply connect to LifeCache and NewBay takes care of the rest.
LifeCache is the technology behind O2 Irelands Bebo on my mobile and Orange UKs Bebo services. It also powers several other carrier services such as Vodafones My Communities and Oranges Social Networking service.
LifeCache is available over-the-air and is pre-loaded on a range of handsets. It supports J2ME, Symbian, Windows Mobile, iPhone and RIM platforms. NewBay is demonstrating its complete range of LifeCache solutions at CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment 2008 until Friday on booth number 1239.
