Nexmo and Telkomsel Team Up for Cloud-based Messaging Solution

Nexmo logoCloud communication API company Nexmo and Indonesian telecom Telkomsel have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at bringing cloud-based, two-way messaging to the Southeast Asian market.

Nexmo will provide enterprises and app developers in the region with access to Telkomsel through its SMS outbound text messaging solutions. The partnership aims to reduce the number of hops for customers by expanding its network of direct carrier connections, providing better messaging quality by reducing latency. There has been a surge in demand for Internet-enabled and mobile devices in Southeast Asia which has driven Telkomsels subscriber base to 138m.
