Nexmo Reveals 443 per cent Increase in Cloud Messaging Traffic

Nexmo logoCloud communications API company Nexmo has revealed a 443 per cent increase in traffic over its cloud-based communications and mobile messaging services in the last 12 months.

The company now handles over 2.5bn API calls per year, and has seen revenues rise by triple-digit figures thanks to the massive growth in its services. Its APIs enable app developers and enterprises to reach customers globally via innovative mobile text-messaging and voice experiences.

Among the other key statistics released by the company was its 141 per cent customer growth rate for the first half of 2014, having added nearly 5,000 new enterprise customers per month. Nexmo is now used by over 80 per cent of the successful over-the-top apps in the market today.

Nexmo has recently grown its international position through a series of strategic partnerships with telecom carriers including Telkomsel in Indonesia, Telefonica O2 in the UK, YTL Communications in Malaysia and Du in the Middle East.
