Nokia’s smartphone comeback is in full swing as HMD unveiled three new smartphones, along with the much-anticipated redesigned Nokia 3310, at Mobile World Congress.

Nokia’s return to the smartphone market was first confirmed last month when HMD, which secured exclusive Nokia brand licensing rights for the next decade last year, revealed the Nokia 6 for the Chinese market.

The Nokia 6 is now set to go global and is being joined by the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 devices. The Android devices feature Google Assistant integration and the return of massively popular mobile game Snake – available on Messenger as part of Facebook’s Instant Games.

The Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD screen, dual speakers and Dolby Atmos audio technology. It comes in matte black, silver, tempered blue and copper colours, and will retail at an average global retail price of €229.

The Nokia 5 is described as ‘a sleek and compact smartphone that nestles in your hand’. It features a Corning Gorilla Glass laminated 5.2-inch IPS HD display, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 mobile platform and Qualcomm Adreno 505 graphics processor. It is available in the same colours as the Nokia 6 and will retail at €189.

The Nokia 3 features a Corning Gorilla Glass laminated 5-inch display and 8MP front and back cameras. It comes in silver white, matte black, tempered blue and copper white, and will retail at €139.

In addition to the new smartphones, HMD Global unveiled what the world has been waiting for – its redesign of the classic Nokia 3310. The iconic phone now has a 22-hour talk time and month long stand-by. It comes in warm red, yellow, dark blue and grey, and will retail at €49.
