Numo Selects Widespace to Monetise Its Mobile Apps

Scandinavian app developer Numo is teaming up with premium mobile ad network Widespace, which is represented in over 60 countries, to monetise its mobile apps.

Over the past three years, Numo has attracted over 3m users to its Numo Finder, SMS Preview and Company Phonebook apps. Numo says that by joining forces with Widespace, it will be able to capitalize on this customer base and offer advertisers a strong advertising channel.

“Mobile advertising is being taken seriously,” says Numo CEO, Trond Ingeretsen. “Google acquired Admob for $750m, and Apple bought Quattro Wireless for $300m. I strongly believe that we are in the right position to succeed in this market, with our unique and effective mobile ad units and their volume. With the Widespace revenue maximizing ad server and ad feed, we are about to create a very interesting business model for us and for the consumers.”
