O2 UK has launched an iPhone app for its Priority Tickets service. The free app, which is available to download from the Apple App Store, provides O2 customers with information on, and the ability to buy, Priority Tickets to gigs and events at The O2, O2 Academy venues and over 1,500 over venues across the UK.
Priority Tickets is a key benefit for all O2 customers, offering them the chance to buy tickets to their favourite artists up to 48 hours before they go on general release. Since its launch in 2007, O2 customers have had access to pre-sales for hundreds of artists, and the scheme now also includes major sporting events, including the ATP World Tennis Finals and NBA Europe Live.
The O2 Priority Tickets app is designed to make it easier for customers to keep up-to-date with the latest presales, and they can click through to buy tickets directly from their iPhone. Customers can also set their preferences for their favourite artists, venues and cities for notification through the app as soon Priority Tickets are available.
“Priority Tickets is part of the fabric of being an O2 customer,” says Jonathan Earle, head of consumer mobile at O2. “Our customers love the fact that they can buy tickets to the biggest gigs in the UK before anyone else. With this app we are making it even easier for them to have incredible experiences that they can share with the people that matter to them the most.” Earle adds that the app will be rolled out to other platforms, including Android and WebOS.
