O2 has launched its ‘#TweetServe’ customer service program, powered by IMImobile.
Customers are able to tweet @O2 using keywords in order to access specific account information, which will then be sent to them as a direct message.
There are currently nine commands – #charges, #data, #text and #minutes for billing information, #android, #windows and #ios for news about updates to the selected OS, and #handsets or #offers for info on what deals O2 is offering.
“Twitter is a great platform for brands who want to connect directly with their customers,” said Dara Nasr, head of sales for Twitter UK. “We are excited to see O2 using Twitter to improve customer service and make account information accessible in real-time.”
Customers will be able to opt out of the service by texting #stop.
