O2 Media is enabling O2 customers can to sign up to its O2 More opt-in mobile advertising database by texting their postcode to 2011. Customers can also sign up via O2’s website.
Launched last November, O2 More delivers personalised campaigns and offers from advertisers including Cadbury Gifts Direct, Interflora and Blockbuster. Customers who opt in receive a maximum of one message per day.
“This is an industry first and demonstrates our commitment to continue to innovate and grow O2 More,” says O2 Media managing director, Shaun Gregory. “This is one of a number of forthcoming developments which will maintain O2 More’s position as the UK’s leading permission-based mobile marketing scheme.”
