O2 has added a Pay & Go top-up service to its O2 Wallet app.
Users can now top up their pre-paid account using their stored card details via the mobile wallet. The app is available on iOS, Android and BlackBerry to any user, regardless of their home network – though only O2 accounts can be topped up.
Its the latest add-on to O2 Wallet, following on from the launch of O2 Train Travel in March, as the platform widens its remit. The hope, presumably, is that the more functions it has, the more reasons users have to adopt a mobile wallet – and make sure that its O2s.
“Our future lies in becoming a trusted provider of brilliant digital experiences,” said James Le Brocq, managing director at O2 Money. “Last year we started that journey with the launch of O2 Wallet which gave us the platform to start to build value-added services.
“This new top-up service as part of the O2 Wallet app offers a quick and easy way to add credit to an account with minimal fuss, giving you more time to spend doing the things you love.”
