Odyssey Mobile Acquired By Phunware

Phunware-LogoMulti-screen-as-a-service (MaaS) platform Phunware has acquired app monetisation firm Odyssey Mobile Interaction for an undisclosed sum in an effort to expand its offerings in Europe and Asia.

Odyssey is a leader in premium application monetisation, with its platforms and solutions enabling rich user experiences across branded application portfolios. The companys offices in London and Singapore will remain open, and no job losses are expected.

Jon Hook, currently head of mobile at Mediacom, will be joining Odyssey from the start of next year as its VP, mobile evangelist, responsible for leading customer strategy across Phunwares Maas platform, as well as its monetization and advertising offering.
