Older People are More Likely to Showroom

While 54 per cent of 35-44-year-olds and 53 per cent of 45-54-year-olds say they have browsed competitior retail websites while in the store of a retailer, just 32 per cent of 18-24-year-olds have done the same.

 Men are more likely to showroom than women, with 65 per cent of respondents to the eDigitalResearch and IMRG confessing to the activity, compared with 51 per cent of females.

While many of the 2,000 people surveyed said they would be more likely to use their phone out shopping if they could access free wi-fi, only 6.66 per cent said they would be ‘very willing’ to personal details in order to access it, while a third said that they would ‘not be willing at all’.
