Opera Partners with Prestigio to Preload Browser on Entry-Level Devices

Cypriot manufactuer Prestigio has partnered with Opera to preload its mobile browser on Prestigios smartphones and tablets.

The partnership covers Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The first devices with Opera for Android preinstalled will go on sale by the end of this year.

“Through our co-operation with Prestigio, even more users in the EMEA region will be able to enjoy reliable and fast internet access with the Opera for Android browser,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “This agreement is another important step towards implementation of our growth strategy, aimed to build partnerships with large manufacturers of mobile devices.”

Prestigio offers entry-level Android devices. You can read our account of a fortnight using its Multiphone handset here.
